So here's a pic of my dad as a photographer. He is, of course, taking pictures of Jack. He and Granny (Jack's paternal grandmother) were both trying to catch Jack at his best playing in his wading pool.

I think she was using an extreme wide angle lens that has distorted me making me look much shorter and larger than I am in reality.

A family that shoots together is cool! I get my brothers grabbing one of my cameras here and there, but none have one of their own ....yet.

Oh I do love these. That second one is SO you. I know how you love that lens and how well it has been working for you. I have to get a 50 prime. I haven't had one for several years. They are fast sharp and so versatile. Thanks for posting these Allison. I love them. Here I go repeating myself.

    Great 3k posting.
Larry you have helped me, as well as countless others.I hope I have said "Thank You"
Well, I looked for ANY old photos as a photographer. No luck. My first camera was a Canon AE-1 1981 [I still have it]. I took this photo on the day I got my D80. Great thread Larry. Very Inspiring.:D

Thanks Rick This has been a fun thread even though many couldn't find that really old photo. The AE-1 was a great camera that was full of innovations. Many very good photographers started with that body and you Rick are no exception. From everything I've heard the D80 will serve you just as well in the digital age. Enjoy and post lots of pictures.
