Becky - UPDATE

What a change in Becky today!
Still a little swollen and in alot less pain, while hubby and I were out today she was feeling so much better that she decided to get a shower, straighten her hair and put some make up on.
She's worn herself out by doing it and has now gone back to bed. But she is definitely on the mend :thumbsup:
I couldn't resist taking some pics.
Thought you would appreciate an update.

I'll let you know how it goes at the Dentists on Tuesday 3rd of April.

Glad to hear Becky is feeling so much better. Tooth pain - especially abcesses - is no joke. No one can understand the pain but the person who is suffering.

I'm so glad she's feeling better, Alison...mouth/tooth stuff is awful when it's that bad. I hope the whole issue's resolved for her!

The Dentist wanted to see Becky again today to finish the root canal.
That's all complete now.
He managed to find the head of the abscess, pricked it and massaged it. Sucked out an awful lot of puss. The most the assistant has ever seen apparently.

Long term, the Dentist said she may have to have surgery which will involve cutting the gum under the teeth and cleaning it out. What that means, I don't know. But it doesn't sound good does it?

He wants to see her again on the 11th when he may have to do another root canal. He's not sure yet but he will re-assess her then.

I just don't know. I feel so sad. I want to do something to help her but all I can do is sit back and watch.

Hi Alison, sorry to be a little belated, but glad things are better. Just thought I'd let you know about my root canal...it was 35 years ago...and now they are the best 2 teeth in my mouth...go figure. hehe...The 2 teeth were actually almost completely knocked out during a basketball scuffle. Since they were my two front bottom teeth, the dentist, thank goodness, decided to try to save them and straightened them back into position. It worked and then 2 years later, in the Navy, I had the root canals done.
Anyway, tell Becky that we are praying she has the same good luck.
