Ready or not!

I just bought my first backdrop and a continuous light with stand and umbrella. It was all my budget could afford right now.

Any tips on how I can get the best out of this equipment?

You need to start shooting!

A great new book that might help you with the basics (and more advanced too) is:

Master Lighting Guide for Portrait Photographers by Christopher Grey.

The only way to learn is by doing...
