Problem w/Shadows on Location
I have a problem with terrible shadows during weddings. I have a strobo frame quick flip and thought this would fix the shadow problems, but it only helps make them 'not so bad'.
Does anyone have any advice?
Thanks. :p
Re: Problem w/Shadows on Location
What equipment are you using camera and strobe wise? Do you have any type of difuser for the flash? Once we know that, we can make suggestions. It has alot to do with your distances from the subject, the lens you use and whether or not the light from the strobe has a soft or hard edge to it.
The single biggest factor...

Yeah, some more specific info would be helpful. But I can tell you that properly used, even a non-diffused flash on a stroboframe should throw all shadows DIRECTLY BEHIND your subject.
The key here is to NOT have any bgs close to your subject, such as walls or worse, other people. Then the shadows that you normally wouldn't see fall on them, and they become very obvious...
Also, slowing the shutter speed a stop or two opens up the exposure on available light or artificially lit bgs, and helps even out the contrast and shadows...
