Need help with pictures coming out with a orange tint
Hi, I recently started in this business of photography.

    My equipment is:

    Sony Cybershot F828 digital camera
    Continous lighting kit Smith-Victor k42u
2 lights, 2 umbrellas, no backdrop

The problem I am having is that my pictures are coming out with an orange or yellow tint. I have tried different settings on my camera, but I can't get the pictures to come out right.

    Please help.

    Thanks,

    Noe

This sounds like a simple white balance adjustment. First try setting White Balance to Tungsten. Regular screw in lamps for household use are basically tungsten.

If that doesn't do the trick, go for a custom white balance and take a photo of a big white piece of paper as your "setting" and save it.

If that doesn't work, make sure the camera is not set on a "mode" that doesn't allow for changing the white balance. Many cameras also "remember" the last mode used. This could mean that unless you tell to change, it won't! Start even with an auto white balance and tweak from there until you get the desire color.
