    Lighting Newbie!!
I have saved a little money for a Minolta DSLR, but since it will be at least fall before it "may" be available if would like to invest in some lighting equipment. I shoot a Maxxum 7 and a Fuji 602Z, have flashes for both. I would like to get some reflectors, maybe a stand, etc. I mainly shoot outdoors. If I do shoot indoors it is usually candids. Don't know where to start. Would like to purchase good equipment, but not really expensive equipment. Can anyone lead me to the "light". Or at least point me in the right direction.

    Thanks

Start with 5 in 1 reflector and stand.
When shooting outdoors will you have someone to hold the reflector? Reason I say that is because the reflector basically acts as a sail when windy and will easily knock over when on a stand.

For a first reflector, I would recommend a 5 in 1 like the Photoflex; Adorama has a lower priced version but never used it. That way you can have multiple surfaces to experiment with. Then get a sturdy holder arm to hold it. You will also need a light stand.
