comet strobes

I have an old comet outfit, a CX-244 pack and three heads.
They all seem to be working, but something rattles in the powerpack.
I'd like to move over to another system - Comets are rare and very expensive - but there doesn't really seem to be an intermediate stage I can go through. I'd like to use the heads on another brand's pack - but have been assured that Comet heads will only work on Comet packs.
Do any of you have suggestions?
Should I just use the Comet equipment until it dies and the replace with Dynalites or White Lightnings?
Any ideas as to how to sell the equipment?

Have you looked into having the power pack repaired? If you decide to change, the White Lightning has been good to a few people that I know.
