    backdrop stand made

    Hi all, finally made the backdrop stand and bought some black velvet material for a backdrop, if i have done this right there will be a photo below this thread showing my first low key image, i used 1 portaflash light but need to invest in reflectors.

    Well done. When shooting dark-haired subjects on dark or black bgs though, you might want to consider ways to seperate their hair from the bg. Carefully placed accent lighting (above and behind the subject) will accomplish this.

    This is where studio lighting becomes a challenge...

    Thanks Steve, i will try these different lighting techniques tomorrow and look forward to the results, i appreciate the advice.
