It looks like the lighting conditions were very challenging.

The shot is a good tight crop (is this the full frame image?) and is a very good attempt at capturing the action.

However, maybe the crop is a little too tight and it is a shame that the player with the ball's face is obscured by his arm. The neat image software also seems to have taken some of the sharpness away from the image although that may also be down to the shutter speed you had to use. Were you shooting wide open at f/2.8?

I would be interested to see other images from the game as this one does not give me a feeling for the clarity that the lens you are using can surely achieve.

A fine attempt though - is this your first time shooting basketball?

Illumination was very poor since this game was played at an old coliseum.
it took me a while to be able to set the camera since I could not get a decent shutter speed.
I conclution, conditions were not favorable to take photos but I wanted to see the outcome to gain the feel of the fast action for a next time. I did moved around and got better exposed images but they are either not showing action or came out blurry do to low shutter speed.
It was my first time shooting this type of sport.
    Thanks for your comments
