When monkeys crash

The sidecar race is so fun to watch! The second rider is called a Monkey (honest) here is part a series of the crash.

I got some from the FIM race at Brands Hatch last year - nutters !

Amazingly most of the monkeys are women :eek:

i like how they arn't even in the side cars!

that can't be to safe for them when they crash... how fast do these things race?

The sidecars and their riders are nuts lol Obviously all the seating is taken out so the monkey can move around, on a course like Barber they go about 70, on a flat track I have seen them do 90!
Paul, those are awesome photos, the vintage sidecars look very different from yours!

I didn't see any women in the FIM race outfits.
Terrific strength needed at race speed to fling the body from one side to the other. and to hold on in the corners.
I reckon they were touching 90 under the bridge even on the short "indy" course at Brands because of the hill.
