Good timing on #2. Volleyball is not the easiest sport to shot.

That's a new subject for you, isn't it, Greg? These look pretty good but I think you could probably work on your angles. The compositions aren't quite working for me. Your timing looks good, though. Maybe Larry has some tips for you?

Thanks OT, PJ. Not entirely new PJ, but I only shoot it once or twice a year, so hard to get good at it. I find you have to shoot before you think you should or miss the action. :D I agree that the angle could be better, but what is a better one is the question? Perhaps from behind, where you could see the expressions of one team, but you would only see the backs of most of the other team players. This is also much harder than it looks - if I use 4.0 (my widest aperture) then I have very little DOF and have to be spot on. I usually shoot at 5.6 for that reason. But that's barely fast enough, even shooting at 3200 or 4000 ISO. Maybe I need one of those ultra-fast cameras that let's you select an ISO on 1 million or something. :)
