the fan's view
To see over the debris fence and get a photo, the fans find rocks and pile them up against the fence.
Then clamber up the pile and balance while panning with a long lens.

Stand behind the barrier, with no debris fence, and hope no-one gets it wrong.
Pan fast with a 24mm lens and dodge the stones thrown up as they use the kerb and a bit more.

Yikes! You're not gonna outrun a car that blows that corner, are you? I like how that photographer has about $15000 of camera hanging over the fence - on the other side. What if it falls? :)

I'm not convinced that if I dropped as soon as they lost it I'd be below the armco barrier when it hit.
It's why we sign the waiver to the FIA and WEC when we get accredited.
