Here is my progrssion after three months of practice

I started out like this. Shutter speeds are too high, all action is stopped

Starting to get the panning idea down, stil shutter speed is a bit to high. Not enough movement in the wheels of the motorcycle. Note: The rider is on the rear brake

Panning is getting better and the shutter speed is just right

    Do you agree?

I think you definitely show progress. As livin said learning to make them pop is difficult and has proven to be a challenge for me.

Next day at the track. Due to the time of day these riders ride their motorcycles and the track layout I'm either shooting into the sun. That gives me way to much light. Got to buy more fliters

No photoshop was used on these phoro as well

If you have to shoot into the sun, then I think filters won't help you.
What filter do you think would stop the sunlight behind the rider, but allow the shadow in his helmet still to be exposed enough to see his face?

For cars a polarising filter helps to reduce the windscreen glare so you can see the driver.
But these guys seem to have open face helmets with no visor, so I don't see a filter helping with that.
