Need some fill flash, or lightening shadows in PS to bring out more details, it could be a pretty decent shot.
I'd kill myself on a snowboard  still not sure how I survived skiing as a kid. I went to school with and did some (OK tried to) ski with the Denny brothers of Duluth Mn. If any of you have watched the Olympic ski jumping the last 35 years you heard of the Denny's, all of them loved ski jumping and made the Olympic team. Jon was the same age as me and tried to get me to ski jump.....I climbed up to the top and chickened out everytime....they are nuts, and snowboarders are right behind them! :D

I agree, it really needed better light, that snow plume could be so much more impressive.
That and possibly opening up another stop or so.
Even with flash there's a chance the meter in the camera will decide that all that white show ought really to be medium toned and darken the image for you.

fun stuff, but I find myself wondering what's going on in this image. Like the others have said, it needs more brightness. Like SW said, make sure you open the camera about 1.5-2 stops when you are shooting in snow, because the camera thinks that the snow should really be grey, so it will drastically underexpose.

I was a snowboard instructor for 3 years. Remarkably, I didn't kill myself. I have dent in my shin from it though, and a great broken wrist story.
