Nice Shot!
In a perfect world, I'd like to see the picture composed with less room above the skier and more room for him to "move into" at the bottom of the picture. Action shots are tough to compose (at least for me) since you don't know exactly where the subject is going to go. I always try to leave some room for the subject to move into, seems to give a great sense of motion and direction IMO.

Chad,
Welcome to the boards. Nice shot and well composed for a difficult action shot. To get that close is difficult I am sure, but I too would like to see just a little more snow in front, and the right tip to be in the shot, still I wouldn't complain if I got that good a shot.

Here is another
Here is another shot. As you can see it is pretty steep and I had to get out of the way quick . Still pretty stable without much blur.

I Love Snowbasin!
It's cool to see Snowbasin on this board. That's where I learned to ski. And my dad learned to ski there when he was a kid, too. Too bad about all the new development, though. It used to be a great secret.
I think this is our first ski photo here, too. Welcome to the site!

I went to Snowbasin the year before they started building all the new stuff for my first time. I really like it better now. I'm sure it isn't the same as the old days, but it is very nice and I never wait in line. Fortunatly, I don't think it will ever be a Park City, Canyons,DV type resort. The customer service at SB is killer. The extra 10 minutes it takes for people to get here from the airport will keep the masses away (people are lazy) and that is fine with me. Great place to take pics as well. Lots of diverse terrain.

Good to know
It's good to know that you still don't have to wait in line. I haven't been there to ski for over ten years. But I was there a few years ago, mountain biking up the canyon, with my dad.
