    Skagit speedway opener

Skagit speedway has been having races for 55 years and here are a few shots from Saturday nights events. The full bodied cars are a hoot to watch. The sprint cars are just bad fast, 4/10th of a mile track in 13.00 seconds.
    Thanks for looking, Jimmy B

used to attend races frequently but never made it to Skagit.
I like the full bodies.....the sprints just aren't close enough to real cars to interest me but they sure have incredible wrecks.
    Keep Shooting!

Love the sprint cars.. Last shot is pretty nice too, with just the limited color showing through... Get's the gritty feeling across real well... Good panning as well, just the right amount of background blur... All good, as usual...

    fantastic photos.
How did you get them, ie are they from the stands, or are you track side.
Here in uk the tracks are much smaller, most1/4 mile.
    Here's aome of mine.
ps I'm new to this stuff.

Mark at this track it is a matter paying your money and you can get into the pits(infield). There are some work benches along the wall that you can stand on to get above the chain link fence.
Brad, the roost and the tire tracks.
