Shaking off the rust...first Hockey game of the year...

Went to my first hockey game of the year tonight, and boy was it a doozy. My college team, which is normally good, looked like a PeeWee team when they went up against Fredonia State from New York.

Good thing this is a tune up game for me. It's a chance to get used to my new camera and shake off the rust of shooting hockey from last year. Not that there was much to shoot for my team. But I got two good ones, and another one that I could possibly sell to the school.

These images where shot with ISO 800 and 1/320th @ f/2.8. White Balance was done by color temperate with a setting of 4000K.

The first shot has no puck in it, but then, its not really an action shot. Its more of a celebration shot that I got after they scored their only goal. Yes, I realize the one kid's face is red, but I think its from playing the sport. The second shot does have the puck in it, and look at the timing on that one.

LOL, I know that comment was directed at me.... (about puck not in shot) That is understandable for celebrations... Nice bend on the stick there

Hey, do you guys play UMD? Hehehhe... I used to live in Duluth and still follow them.

Boy, I have a lot to learn!

Hockey must be a lot of fun to shoot. My most favorite shots are the celebration ones. They say so much. I love when you can look at a pic and it really says something. Yours really say something. They are great!
    It's not blurry. It's bokeh.
