    The real Surf City

Well it's been a little while since I posted to Photographyreview.com let alone Sports Photography. I've been working on a couple of camera reviews for Photo-John which should be finished and posted soon.

In the meantime, what better to reintroduce myself to the Sports folks than offer some surf photography? It's getting to be that time of the year again, when the sun is out the beach is warm, and the waves are crashing.

Check Pawlakphoto.com for recent images I've taken.

    Cheers,
    Dave

Really love 3 and 4. You got some super surf shots. I love seeing things that are off the beaten path to me. Not a lot of surfing in Kentucky.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

    Great shots!
Theere are different levels that they work on. 3&4 are great true action/sports shots. 1 is very landscape-esque, but still with some action. Others may disagree (although no one has said anything yet) with me, but I really like the psuedo-silhouette of the last one. It adds an artistic flair.

I wish there was surfing closer to me, it looks like a lot of fun to shoot. The interaction of man, nature, fast action and water (always fun to shoot).
Please ask before editing my photos, I'll say yes

I like to take the pictures...

Thanks everyone! I'd post more up, but the swell has died out. There's lots of wind chop out there right now, but by the end of the week overheard to 2' overhead is expected.

That first one shows what a monstrous slab of water those waves really are. I like that.

Re: The real Surf City

Thanks again for the compliments. I am working on getting prints together and debating putting up a gallery. So short answer is "Yes" some prints are available for sale. I'd rather not discuss sale in the forums, so please PM me or send me an email and we can work out the details.

Cheers and look for more in the near future.

Is that Jan & Dean I hear?

Dave, like your work here. I'm not a surfer or into the sport, but these are really nice.
