    Night Cyclocross

I might be shooting a night CX race tomorrow night. Any pointers for shooting bikes at night? I'm thinking I won't need the long lenses. Fast lenses really won't do anything for me because dark is dark. Flash or two off camera. Tripod for the streaking headlight shots. Anything else? - Terry

And temps in the mid-40s F. - TF

Awww, Terry. Sorry I didn't see this. I was on the road when you posted and wasn't on the forums much. How did the shoot go? Got anything to show us?

40º, rain and dark. Makes good images, maybe. Not worth the trip if you're not dialed in though. Trust me. Sloppy conditions shooting makes cool images, but it's hard ****ing work.
    It's not about the camera....

Yup. I'll confirm that. This wasn't at night, but here's a photo of me and Chris working a cold, sloppy CX race last season:

The colder and wetter, the better the photos get, though. Mud and suffering is what CX is all about!
