    Nothing new
Nothing new with this image. I just hate it that we are not getting more post on the sports forum so I wanted to throw up a new one. This is from a 9-10 Little League game a few days ago. As soon as I walked up to the field an elderly friend came up to me and said, "Oh please get a picture of my nephew, I try but can never get a good one." I took several of the young man for her, here is one of them.

Don't you just HATE it when people stick limbs into your frame?? This would have been a very good shot if it wasn't for that distraction. I had a teammate walk in front of my lens right as a tying runner was sliding into home plate. I was PISSED...but got a few good frames of the guy's back. :D

    I now waht you mean
I now what you mean, but very little I could do about the runner on second base. Shooting at f2.8 so at least he isn't in sharp focus. I also felt tht with a tighter right side crop the image of the pitcher was not as strong.

I agree, the crop would not help the shot at all. Hey, it's for personal use, just clone the leg out. :)

Good soft background BTW, and great timing.

    college baseball
it's Division 1 college baseball . The "Wave" team is Tulane University. I stand about 30 feet from 3rd base. I find that I get better stealing shots here. If I go over by the 1st base side, I get better double play shots.

As for equipment, I bought the Digital rebel in March, and followed up with the 70-200 f2.8 in April. I love that setup for Baseball. I can zoom in to get 2nd base shots, and can zoom out for 3rd base shots. Next step is to get the 1.x or 2.0 attachment, so that I can get some good outfield shots.
