    My 1st Motorcyle Shots
Ok, not in a race ... but there is a small story. My neighbor is a great guy. His in-laws all race, and I am thinking so did his wife. I know nothing about these bikes, nor the races, but the guy tells me that the man pictured below has won some daytona race. No idea when or which one.

I asked them if I could shoot him on the bike. He said yes, but he said he could only ride up and down the road slowly. :(

I ran inside - from my gardening - grabbed the camera and wasted about 40 pictures trying just to get someone close to the correct lighting. But, it's a start!

Did you get a name? Any moto race at Daytona is a big one.

Pretty good photos. The lighting and/or procession looks strange in the first one, can't put my finger on what exactly. The last one, riding in flip flops is not advised!

(NAME) No, but I will. They are new(er) neighbors. And I only know the husbands last name. I never asked her last name nor her brothers.

Apparently she (the flip flop rider) is a very good rider as well.

I just thought the bikes were cool! :)

Indeed, the R6 is a great looking bike. And yes, she does look very comfortable on the bike, that's obvious. I'm sure she was just tooling around, but I couldn't resist a/b the flip flops. :)

Not to bad for just screwing around that very top shot with the bike on the front wheel is the best composition but it is just a tad bright the middle one is a tad dark and the bottom one background is bright and the subject is dark. To bad we can't just move the sun around to where we want our light...
Something I do when I'm in this type of situation, is turn my camera to apature or shutter priority, and let the camera control the light. Yes, it is cheating but you will have better luck getting the right light.
