Good stuff, Larry. You and that D3s constitute a dynamic duo! My favorites are:

    #1,6 (Peak action)
#2 (Different perspective. That ball being a couple of inches off the floor instead of lying on the floor makes all the difference)
    #4,8 (Facial expression)
#5 (Both feet off playing surface)

Thanks Bob. You'll notice a lot more horizonals, the sports media at MSU need them for their web site so I've started shooting a lot more in that formate.

I'm not really a big ambient fan, but these are nice Larry. Just what I've come to expect from you.

    Larry,

One thing for sure is that it's a lot easier following the action when shooting horizontal than it is when shooting vertical. I notice the difference right away whenever I shoot basketball horizontally. So far I have done it only when taking wide angle shots at 24 mm. and 35 mm., but I may experiment shooting horizontal at longer focal lengths as well.

Last night I shot four BB tournament games, much of the time sitting on the floor behind the baseline. Up until now I have almost always shot standing up, but I like the perspective from floor level. I have four more games tonight to experiment further.

There's always something new to learn when shooting sports!

Thanks Daniel, I don't have access to the universities strobes and not able to use any other light. So ambient it is. I like the naturalness of the light but backgrounds can get distracting.
