Re: Which kneepads are good?
Personally I would get some with the plastic caps on them, brand or anything?

Re: Which kneepads are good?
Plastic caps were what I was looking at as well.
Name brands don't mean much to me, as long as they work, they could be anything :)
Re: Which kneepads are good?
Home Depot and Lowe's and knee pads for about $10.00 with the plastic caps.. I have used them extensivley for work call outs and they are flexible and comfortable.
PLUS they are cheap if you drop them or otherwise lose them.... They have different colors as well....Check them out....
Re: Which kneepads are good?
Sweet, so with different colors I could match them to the work shirts I have to wear :)
Are they pretty much the painters/ concrete type ones?
Re: Which kneepads are good?
Just regular construction type... But they really are comfortable.. If I remember they had blue, black, red and green... They are large enough to cover your whole knee and allow you room to move without digging in...
Re: Which kneepads are good?
I don't use them as my knees no longer bend very well, but one guy uses this setup that looks a lot like a combination of kneepads and catchers pads that allows him to rest his butt on. If my old creeky knees could take the pressure I'd get this setup..... but now even a small amount of walking and my knees swell and then I can't get down.....plus it hurts like heck.

Re: Which kneepads are good?
I picked up some kneepads from my local harware store (I'll try to get some pics of them this morning) and they made a world of difference tues night.
I had 2 games to shoot (all elementary school age kids) and I prefer to get on me knees to their height and shoot since the images come out much better that way. When I wear shorts its impossible for me to kneel down on that dirt, and in pants I can last a few innings, but not many. This time I could kneel down all day and I couldn't feel a thing.

Kneepads! Never thought of that! We all sit on our equipment cases or stool here in the UK. What kneepads are the best for shooting outdoor sports like soccer?
Re: Which kneepads are good?
Same type as above. If construction workers use them all day every day, they must be ok.. I use them for work and I will be kneeling for several hours without moving. I may then have to get up quickly and move (run) and I will have to do so without loss of mobility and quickness.
Construction knee pads are the way to go.

Re: Which kneepads are good?
I've seen a lot of photographers use kneepads for American football, but not as much soccer.
I actually use them only when I shoot baseball. The reason is I work for a company taking action photos of youth baseball leagues, soccer tournaments, whatever else we can get to shoot. When I shoot baseball, I am moving around a lot so its almost impossible for me to have a chair or something to sit on. That and I'm using shooting 8-12 year olds, so they're really short and I like to get down to their level to shoot. I don't mind kneeling on the grass, but most of the fields around here where I would kneel are dirt, and after an inning or two of kneeling on dirt it doesn't feel to good :)
The kneepads I use are a $15 pair of flooring kneepads. Light, good padding, and are easy to take on/off.
Re: Which kneepads are good?
I like the plastic pads as well . I have a pair of easy swivel pads , these things work great like the name suggests you can swivel around with such ease.

Re: Which kneepads are good?
Those are almost the exact same ones I have. The only difference is mine have a little bit more of the white hard shell
