    June Autocross w/ new lens

So I mentioned I ordered the 70-200 F/4 L but I wasn't sure it'd make it in time for Sunday's event. But at 11:30am Saturday there was a wonderful knock on my door! So these are my first ever shots w/ a telephoto lens (on the DSLR anyway). As for the lens itself, VERY impressive. The focus is SO much faster and more accurate than my other two lenses; nearly-instant. I know I'm preaching to the choir on that, so on to the pics...

    Great DOF and focus accuracy

    Just along for the ride...

Near or at pixel-level crop. Great detail.

I think even Photo-John would be proud of this pan - 1/60SS at 118mm, no stabilization

Nothing like getting a new piece of equipment and finding out it's everything you thought it would be. Congrats on the new purchase as well as a great set of pictures with it.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??
