    GP Riders on bicycles

I was invited to the Moto GP Cultural Media day. For each stop along the Moto GP circuit riders participate in an activity that is part of the area culture. This year Marc Marquez (GP points leader), American Ben Spies, and Scott Redding ( Moto2 points leader) and four other riders joined the Marion College Championship Cycle team at the Major Taylor Velodrome. The Velodrome was constructed in 1982 to prepare for the 87 Pan Am games an is names after Marshall (Major) Taylor. Indiana born, Taylor was the first African American to be part of an integrated professional team and the first black world record holder.

    Marc had a good time

Interview with Marc Marquez. "I enjoyed it a lot. It's a new experience because I'd never ride a bicycle like that. I didn't know you could be so fast on the banking in the corners. I really enjoyed it."

Ben Spies is no stranger to bicycles. Spies a bicycles rider as well as Motorcycles owns a professional cycling team, Elbowz Racing.

What a cool event and photo opportunity! I'll have to make sure the RoadbikeReview.com team sees these photos, too. I didn't know the MotoGP guys did cultural stuff like this, although it makes perfect sense. I do know that there are a lot of moto roadracers who also pedal to stay fit. Specialized actually sponsors a few pro moto racers, providing them with bikes that they ride to train and just for fun. I don't think any of them are velodrome racers, though

Thanks for sharing. This is very cool.

These are really interesting facts but I don't really care about this sport. I usually watch football on this site https://livescores.biz to see the score or predictions. I need it to make the right stakes. I do bets really reasonably and I don't wanna lose my money
