Going to a supercross in San Diego, Will I be able to shoot my Canon 7D?

I am going to this Monster Supercross at Qualcomm stadium in SD.
I would like to take my Canon 7D and my 70-200 2.8 IS.
Will security let me take it in?
If not how can I apply or do to shoot from the ground? permit? fee? etc etc etc

thanks for the help I am new at this.

The last 2 in SLC I had a DSLR with my 80-200 on and got in. Maybe I got lucky?

Maybe lucky, plus white Canon lenses get more attention.

Getting an actual photo pass will be next to impossible for Supercross. Those things only go to pro and bros. Unless you know someone, forget that idea. I've never heard of paying for a photo pass at a motorsports event, either. Your best bet is to just try to carry it in with you and shoot from wherever you're able.

How did you make out? I know last year I was able to get in to the practice and qualifing session with my dslr and lens no problem. There were alot of people in there with them. During the practices you can move around and go stand were ever you want. I didnt bring it back at night for the actual racing because I figured it was going to be too dark and too far away, plus I wanted to enjoy the racing, lol.

I was able to get in with my 7D and the 70-200, I was in the lower level of the stadium, and able to shoot really close since we were maybe 10 feet from the track, and i moved all around the stadium in the lower level with no problem.

Not good at all, yeah like I told you you are able to take your camera even with larger lenses, and I was able to walk on the lowe level (not ground or the actual track) but you are couple feet from the track and jumps, even if you dont pay the ticket for the lowel level you can ask permission to the staff just to be able to take pictures from that level. They are cool with that. light no so bad.

At this moment I dont know why i can get to view the pictures I am trying to use a card reader (USB) but i am not getting anything, and I dont carry any backup camera or card. Hope is not the card.

In a couple weeks I will be going to the Nuclear Cowboyz show, (freestyle dirtbiking) but this is a really low light show, I am still thinking if I should give it a try or not.
