Shot with one Canon 550EX about 15 feet to my right, clamped on a rail and shot straight up at a white ceiling. Used a Canon 1D Mark IIN and Canon 70-200 2.8L at ISO 800 manual at 1/250 and 2.8

Did you any type of diffuser on the flash?

Nothing at all, just pointed it up so it bounced down to cover the key.

I gotta get a flash worked into my gear. I have been taking shots for my daughters club team and her HS bball team, and while I get some decent shots, seeing yours inspires me. I've tried for quite awhile to get decent shots under the rim, but obviously the lighting is what is holding me back.

Off to do some more exploring on the forum.

Beautiful! I shy away from using flash in basketball, but I see now I need to give it more of a try. Was your flash set to TTL? Any settings you can recall/share with your flash? Thanks!
