    Jimmy B's World

Jimmy hooked me up with a pit pass for the SLC Nascar event. I took a ton of photos and really enjoyed checking it out. It's been a while since I've been to the track for a motorsports event and I honestly wasn't that psyched about going. But once I got a whiff of race gas my blood started pumping. The fact is, I don't really care what you're racing - if it's got a motor, I'm psyched. I'm not a big fan of oval racing, though. I like racers that know how to turn right as well as left. So I was pleased to discover that the guys were actually racing a road course at Miller Motorsports Park. Next year I'm going to make more of an effort and see about getting a real photo pass!

Thanks a lot, Jimmy! I know it took a couple of years to get me out there. But I'm happy I finally made it. Looking forward to dinner and night shooting later!

All three of these photos were taken with the Nikon D5000 and 10-24mm DX Nikkor. I also have a bunch of Olympus E-P1 photos that I still need to download.

Thanks for coming out PJ. Sitting in SLC airport waiting to go home.I am looking forward to getting home and checking out my night shots from SLC. It was a good race today with no real issues.
If anyone has a chance to go to Miller Motor sports park in Utah GO it is one of the nicest facility's we race at.
