Film Type for Biking Shots

Just an inquiry for all y'all bike photogs ...

What kind of film do you use and why? I've been using Provia 100 as my main film, and 400 once and a while, but 400 is more expensive and more grainy so I usually stick to P100. So far I really like it. Sometimes I crave a bit more saturation when reality gets monotonous and I've heard that I should turn to Velvia for that. I'm really curious about others' opinions on Astia100, Velvia 100, and any non-Fuji slide films. Post on! -Justin

In the ancient days, when my cameras would take chemical emoulsion, Provia was by far my favorite. Lively, but natural. Provia is more saturated at the expense of skin tones and it's more contrasty. I never tried too many of the other films. Astia is very similar to Provia, slightly less saturation, slightly more grain, but much cheaper.

Buy a roll of each and find out for yourself. :D

I use Kodak 200E and sometimes the 100ES.
I am a die hard Kodak user.
Because I use a Nikon camera, I love to take your photograph....So Kodak don't take my Ektachrome away!

I have been using Kodak Max Versatality and Kodak HD 400. I can't say I have played with many other film types. I have only been shooting for a year and don't know much about film, so great question.

I shoot Sensia as my low speed film and Provia 400F when I need more speed. If necessary, I'll push the 400f to 800, which is nice. Not much more grain, and more contrast and the saturation is nice. Velvia is good too, but in Finland the light levels are pretty low even in the summer, so.. I've shot some Velvia in Formula One testing, and I gotta say I love it..
