Re: Downhill MTB Pan Shot
Excellent pan shot, but maybe too good. With the background that blurred, it really doesn't give me a sense of motion and removes the context of what is going on. - TF

Yeah that was edited that way. For some reason the original pan didnt blur as much as I am used to. The original is below! I went overboard on the PS. Never done it before.....

Ian: I agree with your edited version. It really shows the speed of the rider ( I bet the person in the shot really likes it).
See you at Sea Otter (If you make the drive)

Re: Downhill MTB Pan Shot
I prefer the unphotoshoped version. The extra blur created in ps lowerd the overall contrast and "pop". I can see more detail and better composition in the unedited version. Great job!
Re: Downhill MTB Pan Shot
Quite a good bit of PS work there.
I think it's overdone for my taste, and lacks sharpness on the rider.
It looks like there is blur forward form his arm and helmet.
But it really does give a good impression of speed, which is the whole point of the edit.

Digging the unedited photo more. Figured, but had a hard time seeing that he was dropping off a rock in the original.
Good work.
