    yup, by the time you snapped that he could be DEAD. I see this at every race I have been too, and I am amazed at the number of close calls. In the past 7 years I have seen one photog killed, and 15-20 injured because they were not paying attention at race tracks, and thats not counting the ones I have seen on TV.....there was one tonight that about got run down at a small track :(

    Even the amateurs like me know better..... the pros SHOULD know better. That's just plain stupidity.

    Last night there was an apartment fire that left 16 families homeless in Carmel In and in another case stupidity the fire was set by some moron shooting off fireworks next or too near a bush. Before anyone could react the bush was burning with flames 10 feet high and the building caught fire. I thought of this photo when I heard about that fire and wondered if these two were related :(

    I was just oing through some older photos todaty and came across this one , this thread wasthe first thing I thought of. he was too busy checking the photo he just took of the rider doing the drop he failed to notice her out of control coming right at him.
