Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

    Re: 4x4

Thanks Troy, in #2 the vehicle is on its way to completing a 360 degree roll, where as the vehicle in #5 managed to recover the situation but had to drive off the course in order to do so. If you look at the image you can see the co-driver has used his steering brake to lock up the left rear wheel transferring all the drive to the right, this has allowed the vehicle to drive forward and turn to the right which caused it to drop back onto all four, a good team effort I say .....
Love the expression on the drivers face.

Wow! Some serious 4x4 rigs !

    Nice shots Pete!

Is the forest open for them to drive freely or is it only on delimited areas?

    Re: 4x4

Thanks Armando, the objective of this sport is to get your vehicle through the course marked by the coloured poles without losing forward momentum ( stopping ) the course is usually quite short but set over challenging terrain normally very steep or muddy , often a combination of both. These photos don't really give an appreciation of just how difficult the courses are to drive and stay within the bounds. Scoring is determined by how far the driver and co-driver can get their vehicle through the course, getting to the end of the course earns zero penalty points and the winner on the day is the driver with the lowest score after the 33 different courses were attempted, don't ask me why they score it like that guess that's how it's always been.

Looks like a fun, and potentially expensive sport. Nice job capturing it, Pete!

Gregavi, Matt, Megan, and Ken thanks for looking and posting a comment. The blue machine I have to confess features a bit more than the others because my name is on the back as part of the build team.....
