    2008 Football Seniors

So, I get a call from the regional daily yesterday to go by and shoot the seniors and coach at one of our HS. Of course there wasn't a cloud in the sky and they wanted to do this at 6:00 PM which put the sun on a bad angle. Part of doing the newspaper thing is being able to get the shot under almost any conditions, so I dragged out a couple of flashes and triggers along with 2 lightstands to help out. With the sun behind them, and by underexposing the ambient, we got a pretty decent shot. Ya gotta love Mother Nature!

Nice shot....I am on my yukky computer screen here at work, so I can't tell about the lightness, everything looks dark on this screen....

nice job, the only thing I'd change is the guy on the back on the left move him too the right side so he gets some light.

Yeah, that's a rough shot with the harsh backlight. How were your lights set up. The left side looks slightly brighter than the right.

This was done with 2 bare Sunpaks, one on either side and cross lighting the opposite side. This is tough in bright sun, but it had to get done. The idea was to underexpose the backround and light the seniors.
