When not to VR - in body vs lens - Question
I read an article recently that suggested that Lenses (specifically NIKON) that have VR capabilitities should only have the feature switched on when shutter speed equals or is less than 1/500ths as anything faster than this would result in soft pictures as the VR fails to "keep up" with the shutter speed. As the Sony uses manipulation of the sensor to achieve vibration reduction would the same principle apply do you think??

I've seen nor read anything to indicate that the IS causes a problem with any Sony (or Nikon) at fast shutter speeds. It can be shut off at 1/500s or faster because the camera shake wouldn't be visible anyway. - Terry
