    Turn off pre-flash on my Alpha?
    Hello folks,

    I am working with a Sony Alpha 100.
    There are two options for the flash control, ADI Flash and Pre-Flash TTL. Both of these options shoot a pre-flash directly before the image is taken.

    The problem is that this pre-flash is setting off my slave flash so then the light from the slave is not recorded because it shoots before the shutter is released.

    This is really frustrating. Do you have any suggestions?

    Is the master flash the on board flash?

    Is the "slave" just a light slave?

    I have the Sony 36 flash, and use it with both TTL and ADI and have no preflash. However, if I use the onboard flash, it does pre-flash. I'm using a Maxxum 5D, but the flash system is the same.
