Sony flash compatability...PJ?

I'm tired of the speculation, does anyone have any info that confirms the new Sony flashes will be backwards compatible with the 5D/7D?

As far as I know, all the new accessories are supposed to be backwards compatible. Although Sony has hedged and said they can't make any guarantees. I'm going to go back through the material I have and see what they said about accessory compatibility.
