    Sony DSLR Guide Is Live
My comprehensive Sony DSLR guide is done. It has an introductory overview of Sony's whole Alpha line and then a separate page with description and basic specs for each camera that's currently available.

Nice move, Greg. You know how much I liked the A55. I'm still a little suspicious about the resolution on the A77 - I think my 18-megapixel EOS 7D is too much. But the samples look great and overall I think the A77 looks like a real game changer. I didn't say this in the guide, but I am really curious to see how Canon and Nikon answer the A77. It pushes the performance way beyond what I would have expected of the mid-range prosumer DSLR camera class.

If you can, I think I would wait until after the first firmware release. Looks like they may have a few problems. - Terry

OC are you referring to the rumors at DP? I rarely go to that site due to the constant brand bashing. If it's a firmware issue that can be fixed I had rather have the camera in hand and fix it when the firmware is released as opposed to waiting later.
I also read Sony would probably have the bugs fixed, if any, By the time it hits the US.
    Time will tell.

    Rumors:

The Mean Time Before Failure for the ones that were released in S Korea a few days ago was about an hour.

They have been pulled in the UK.

The US deliveries have been delayed.

Possibly: The hardware guys at Sony speced the new signal processor chip and forgot to tell the firmware guys. If so, firmware should be an easy fix, but really looks like bad management. If the downloadable users manual is any indication, the could have used a little more time to get their act together.

Doesn't leave one feeling warm and fuzzy inside.

Well it sounds like they know about the problem and will fix it maybe before they are released here. At least they are willing to correct their error and stand behind theirs products. That in itself makes me feel better.
I hope the bugs are worked out of the Nex 7 as well.

John your guide looks great and is easier to read than some of the sites I was shopping on. I need lens help now. At some point I want to go wide. You done a bang up job.
