Sony DSC-S500 Uploading Problems

I've had my Sony DSC-S500 for about 2 years now.
It used to upload videos fine, using the software that was packaged with it.
I was previously using Windows XP.

Once I switched to Windows Vista, I started noticing changes with what it uploaded.
After filming a video on my digital camera, I'd upload it, and notice that the sound became staticy and the voices in the videos pitches dropped significantly.

I know this is probably a compatibility problem with Windows Vista, but is there anything that I can do to remove myself of this problem?
