Sony DSC-H1 Forgot to put in memory stick PICS lost???

Hello i from time to time forget to put my memory stick in my sony DSC-H1 Steady shot 5.1 megapixel camera.Does it keep these pictures in like an internal memory?
If so how can i retrieve them? I dont have a cable to go from the camera to the laptop so can i put the memory stick in and copy them to it?
I have no idea how to find these pictures if indeed they are really there.
I dont have a manual but im familiar with the camera setup functions...but i cannot find these LOST pictures.......any help would certainly be appreciated.
I downloaded the manual but you could read for hours trying to find this simple step!

I don't have this camera but according to specs it has 32mb internal memory. As far as moving them from camera to card I don't know. Unless someone else has this camera and can tell you, the manual is your best bet.
