Sony Alpha DSLR-A350, A300 and 2008 PMA Announcements
Today, Sony announced two new digital SLRs, the 14.2-megapixel A350 and the 10.2-megapixel A300. They also announced new lenses, including a 24-70mm f/2.8 Zeiss lens. There are also new Cybershot compact digital cameras, digital picture frames, and the Sony GPS-CS1KASP, which makes it possible to attach GPS coordinates to photos and videos.

Yesterday Sony announced a 24-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor for digital SLRs. They aren't announcing a camera that uses it yet. But I think this announcement may be one of the biggest of this year's PMA tradeshow.

I just bought an A350. I'm liking it. I still have a G9, but the 350 is alot different.

We just reviewed the A350 and it's a neat camera (Sony Alpha A350 Pro Review). I really like the LCD display and I thought the image quality was very good. The G9 is a nice camera, but it doesn't compare to any current SLR in terms of performance or image quality. They're different animals.
