Sony A100 question on printing (need help ASAP)
Okay here is my question. I am doing portrait photography for a cheer team. They liked what i have taken of my daughter.
My problem is, i want to print 8 x 10 size How to i get the right size. When i go to resize on PS CS 3 its reisze but not exactly 8 x 10 its off. I dont want to have to crop then i lose some of the pictures that is taken.
Is there a setting on the camera that i need to use The lens im using is the 35-70mm f/4 lens.
I am going to be printing packages for the team but i need to get the 8 x 10 size worked out first.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Marcie

You will have to shoot loose in the original photos, and then crop AND resize to fit each print size you want in the package.
Someone will say that's wrong. However, I work in a lab and this is what all my pro customers have to do. If you are printing on a home printer, I really have no clue. If you can give details as to how the printing will be done, it would help us give you more info.

Ok Thanks so Im assuming I will have to put the subject in center and get more of the background in there so i can crop more!! That make sense!!!

Re: Sony A100 question on printing (need help ASAP)
yeah, that's the way to do it. The A-100 uses the ratio 2:3 so you can print 4x6, 8x12, but if you want 8x10 you will have to crop it.
Re: Sony A100 question on printing (need help ASAP)
Cropping is the way to do it. Some places can print 8x12 which won't require any cropping. Good luck finding a frame or album for 8x12 though.
Re: Sony A100 question on printing (need help ASAP) Another Question
Thanks for the answer on the printing. I will put the person more in the center and have more background so i can crop for 8 x 10.
Another question. I am interested in getting 2 umbrella strobe light for the portrait and group shots.
