Sigma Ultra Wide 14mm

I have been wanting an ultra wide for awhile. There are not many super wide choices with Sony. I know I can't afford it but I wonder why Carl Zeiss didn't make a 15mm in A mount? Though I have seen it converted for a NEX 7 on Flickr. I read some fairly good reviews on this lens.

Greg, how are the field reports on that combo? On the a900, I've been using the older 12-24mm Sigma UWA zoom. It's fine stopped down a bit, but definitely not the sharpest tool in the shed, especially off center...
