Thanks to what I read here I went and got myself an Alpha 100 today. Took some test shots and am very pleased with the results. I will definitly post pix in the other forum as soon as I have something note worthy.

Oh yeah, is there anything I should know about the camera in terms of quircks or wierd photo qualities?

I shoot sports and have some very specific techniques and tricks. I figured out some stuff with the Sony and was very impressed with the auto focus features. I haven't used it for a while as it's not my personal camera. But I think I'm going to start using it again so I can participate in this forum more.
