Cropped, 800iso as passing cars behind me were causing movement in the flowers. The flowers were a good forty feet off of the highway but still created problems.

Re: How sweet is the 70-300mm G
'Tis pretty sweet... Is that with your a77 or ? Noise pattern looks fine, more like the a900...
I've been happy with my 70-400g, but never tried the 70-300g... Looks top notch... No visible chroma around the edges... Clean lines... Gotta like it...
Re: How sweet is the 70-300mm G
Yes this was with the a77 as with this. In print I can see nails in the post.

Re: How sweet is the 70-300mm G
Hi Greg:
I would like to see additional shots that you have taken, using the Sony 70-300 G lens.
If and when you have some "free time" (what's that ?) - please consider posting more photos, Okay..?
Thanks,
Ed

With you on this one Greg. I often use this lens before dawn and after dusk with the F58M flash (whilst in the bush). I am always pleasantly surprised by the definition achieved across the zoom range! Here are some examples from the 70-300 G.
