Finally got the HVL-F56AM Flash need help
Yea I finally got a flash. got the 56 model. Dose anyone know of anyplace I can get some good info on how to use this flash? The book basicly just tells how and where the buttons are, but not really helpfull in how to really use it to your advantage. I would like to know more on the power setting and the zoom setting how and when to use them. Any help would be great.
Re: Finally got the HVL-F56AM Flash need help
Here's an article on wireless flash <a href="http://www.friedmanarchives.com/flash.htm">http://www.friedmanarchives.com/flash.htm</a>. It was originally written back in the Maxxum film days, but most of it is still valid except the ratio flash function is disabled with DSLR's.
I'm not sure if that article talks about power settings or zooming, but I think it's the most useful article for anyone using the Minolta/Sony flash system. Wireless is where the system shines, and that article is very good at explaining it.
Edit: I see now that the article has been updated for digital..

Can I say WOW. Thanks for the link. I ended up buying his a100 ebook and the advaced topic ebook. Read the advanced ebook last night and leanerd ALOT from it. If any of you sony users have not read his ebooks, priced very cheaper that the print books. Take a look at them and download a few.
