    charger for SONY R1???
hi, new guy here. im browsing ebay for chargers for my sony cybershot dsc r1. i see allsorts of chargers+batteries for under 30 bucks! like this one http://cgi.ebay.com/2-x-SONY-NP-FM51...ayphotohosting

now a charger plus 2 45 dollar batteries should go for alot more than 30 bucks!
is this deal too good to be true?? does this charger destroy batteries by overcharging? or is there something i dont even know about?

    thanks

I don't know. I'm not much of an ebay user. With proprietary batteries being so expensive, I'd be careful and stick to recognizable name brands. I would recommend checking B&H to see what they have. I would trust them more and it will give you an idea of what a fair price really is. What does a Sony charger cost?

Pardon my ignorance as to your particular situation (like if you're going for spares) but the camera does come with a battery and charger- and unless sheer charging speed is an issue (heck, if any speed is an issue I would question a P&S), you could always get a spare battery and use it on the same charger. If I were you, If I could not stick to the actual sony equipment, I'd at least get reputable 3rd party stuff from B&H.
