Can the A350 use a remote control shutter?

I was just wondering if anyone would know if the A350 could be rigged for a remote
control shutter, Or can you just buy one?

    Thanks in advance, Jim

I would recommend either of these depending on what you are looking for.

The second one is radio wireless and works very well. Very convenient. The radio/RF types work up to about 100 yards and though walls, windows, etc. The A350 has an IR sensor built in and you can also get a remote to activate it this way. The problem is that it has a limited range of about 15 feet, is 'line of sight' and only works well from the front.

Thanks guys, all I want it for is to reduce camera shake. It doesn't have to be a long distance thing.

You can also just use the built in timer - 2 sec. - TF

Great idea TF, Thanks for the info. Remote, What remote, I don't need no stinking remote.

You can get shutter release cables for pretty damned cheap. its a good investment for the cost (~$10), helps if you ever want to use bulb exposures.
    Like this

You can get them even cheaper if you get the short cables. Their is also a slider switch that will hold the shutter release for bulb exposures.

All of these cheap ones are from Hong Kong, how long does it take to get one from there?

Re: Can the A350 use a remote control shutter?

They screwed mine up at first, sent me one for Nikon mount. I let them know and they sent me the sony one and didn't want their nikon one back. Sort of nice I got two now. Anyway, it works fine for me, took about 8-9 days shipping each time, but at $8, I really didn't care.
