Dropped Sony Wide Angle!!

Hi All,

In a slightly NEC-induced rush of blood to the head I bought a new Sony 11-18 wide-angle lense last month. It is wonderful and I have been delighted with it.

I have just dropped it out of its case onto the ground, the Alpha 200 is fine but the lense won't fully extend or focus, but I have no idea who to take it to for repair.

Should I try Sony UK or are there better people to go to?

lots of photo shops offer repair as well, I'd check that out.

Finding a shop that will do repair in the UK is hard. I've only found two and neither specialises in Sony - but probably because I was looking for Canon servicing.
I would look up on the guarantee and see where Sony servicing is and give them a call.
Not likely to be covered under warranty But they should know where the local approved repairers are, if they exist.
