    A700 raws on CS2

CS2 doesn't support the ARW format the A700 shoots, at least not officially. Are there any third party plug-ins available? Will they make plug-ins in the future? I've been scouring the internet for a while looking for the answer and came up a bit short, any help would be appreciated.

I don't believe anyone makes Camera Raw converter plug-ins. I expect Adobe would frown on that. They want to force you to upgrade to CS3. I don't use Photoshop for conversions anymore - only Lightroom. Of course, that will cost you, too. But I like it a lot better than Camera Raw. The workflow is the same whether you're adjusting RAW or any other type of file. And Lightroom has tools that I think are much better than Photoshop for global adjustments.

I had the same problem when I took some test shots with a 40D at store, and I couldn't open them using CS2 when I got home. There was a work around for it tho. I had to convert the RAW files to Adobe DNG files. You can open, and process the DNG files just like your original RAW files. It's an extra step, but it works. I upgraded to CS3 before I purchased my own 40D so I don't have to worry about it now.
