Use of [img] tags on this site
I typically post my images by using the a link surrounded by the [img] …. [ /img ] code tags. After posting, if I am NOT logged in, this works as it typically does and displays the image that's surrounded by the tags. However, when I am logged in, it does not work properly and i only see the link to the image.
I run a vBulletin forum myself, but a different edition. I know that this tag’s functionality is generally supported. Is there anything in the user CP that can be done so that images tagged as such can be viewed as intended?
Thanks

That is weird. It's possible that because I'm the admin I see it differently and never noticed the problem. Can you give me a link to an example post so I can take a look?
Thanks!

It might be something in your user settings?

Thanks for the reply.
Here's an example from one of my posts:
http://forums.photographyreview.com/...ark-81632.html
If i AM NOT logged in, the image appears inline.
if i AM logged in, all i see is the link.
I can click on the link and it works as expected, but as you know, the whole point of using [img] ... [/img] is to show the images without needing to click on them.
Maybe there is something configurable in user CP, but i haven’t changed the defaults.
Thanks for your time.

Found the solution.
Under user CP, in the section titled “Thread Display Options” there is a checkbox titled “Show images (including attached images and images in [img] mode. This was not checked before. I dunno if this is a default or if it was unchecked by me. Anyway, once it was checked the problem was solved!

Typically I’d offer something along the lines of thanks for your brilliance and original insight, but since I posed about the same question in my first post (above), I’ll say thinks for the brilliance and insight to essentially repeat what I wrote. :p
